Volunteering

Being an HOTR Outreach Volunteer Requires...

Once a week Outreach participation (generally three to four hours including travel)
Up to two monthly rehearsals with the adult dance company and more as performances approach
A love of dance
A positive attitude and a willingness to have a ton of fun!

Join us in sharing the dance with some wonderful young dancers! We have many volunteer opportunities in addition to Outreach - join our business staff or volunteer with the kids at performances! For more information on volunteering, please contact Jessica Moore at hotradmin@gmail.com.

In your email, please let us know how you learned about HOTR. Also, please indicate what type of activities you might be interested in--teaching the children, fundraising, behind-the-scenes, etc. We look forward to hearing from you!

Time Commitment

Each volunteer is asked to commit to at least one semester, but ideally the full school-year, since she/he will be assigned to one center over the school year. The weekly time commitment is 3-4 hrs for the weekly workshops (including travel time), plus up to two monthly training/rehearsal sessions on the weekends.

Joining Our Team

Thank you for your interest and we look forward to meeting you! Auditions are held twice per year: once in October and once in January, to coincide with the start of each semester. However, we do make exceptions to invite new volunteers at other times as needed.
